Fluorescent lamps with effective splinter and UV protection
OSRAM splinter and UV protection lamps are equipped with a special plastic tube. This prevents splinters escaping and falling out if the lamp breaks and also reduces the emission of UV radiation. Different versions are available, each tailored to the requirements of specific lighting situation.
- LUMILUX 840 SPS is equipped with a special plastic tube. It is used above all in industry and in the food processing industry, where glass splinters and impurities have to be avoided in the event of a break.
- LUMILUX DE LUXE UV Protection in light colours 940 and 954 with a colourless tube is the ideal light source for museums, offices, exhibitions and trade fairs and has a high colour rendering index. Light colour 954 is ideal for colour matching.
- Light colour 62 YELLOW with a yellow tube is ideal for use in areas in which UV or blue radiation components are not permitted (such as microchip fabrication and print shops).

Fluorescent lamps for the food industry
NATURA and NATURA SPS with their light colour 76 to DIN 10504 are ideal for displaying food (e.g. meat and sausages) and for presenting and selling flowers. The merchandise is well protected and attractively presented thanks to the specially tailored spectral distribution. NATURA SPS helps meet the requirements placed on lighting systems under the International Food Standard (IFS).
Fluorescent lamps for plants and aquariums
FLUORA lamps emit light at the blue and red ends of the spectrum. Their spectrum is well matched to that required for the photo-biological process. The result is healthier plants.
Coloured fluorescent lamps
Light and colour are central elements of design. Fluorescent lamps in Red (60), Yellow (62), Green (66) and Blue (67) are the ideal solution for attractive lighting. With coloured light it is possible to set accents, arouse emotions and create atmosphere. Rooms and facades are given an individual look, often to great effect.
